As we began flipping houses, we had a strategy of buying rental properties to diversify our real estate portfolio.  Already having a couple flips under our belt, one of our networking contacts from KREIA (Kentucky Real Estate Investors Association) contacted us about a house he wanted to wholesale.  While it was earlier than we planned, we knew when to jump on an opportunity and it fit the right criteria for a rental.   We had some rehab to do on this property but it was worth the investment since it was going to be ours for years to come.
